By contracting with Infopia American, HME Providers is able to offer the Eocene System, a state of the art telemedicine technology that enables you to remotely track your patient's outcome and usage, protecting you from costly audits. This system supports devices such as glucose meters, a blood pressure cuff, weight scale, pulse oximeter, ECG machine, and more to come.

There are many benefits of promoting this system to your patients:
  • Proof of usage and outcome in the case of an audit
  • You can track inventory and be notified if patients are in need of new shipments
  • Increased referrals
  • Increased patient retention
  • Eliminate the need for paper log books
  • Help promote self-management with your clients to stay involved with their physicians and their healthcare team

What is telemedicine, and how can the Eocene System benefit me?
Eocene is a telemedicine technology with a user-friendly interface that remotely monitors, tracks, and reports patient data using the Electronic Medical Monitoring Apparatus (EMMA.). This includes measurements taken using glucose meters, a blood pressure cuff, and weight scale already available, with a pulse oximeter, ECG machine, and cholesterol meter being integrated now. Each of these products are affordable, and available to you as an HME Providers member.

What are the benefits of this technology to me as a DME provider?
Suppliers in the DME industry should all be aware that the focus in the healthcare industry is shifting from a "fee for service" to "pay for performance" system. This means that demand is increasing for methods that will help physicians ascertain improvement in the health of their patients. Like many suppliers, you probably find it difficult to track utilization and prove compliance in the case of an audit. You also might want to ask yourself what you are offering today that makes you stand out from your competitors when marketing to referral sources. All of these challenges can be confronted using the Eocene system.

More About the Eocene
This technology presents a solution to recent changes in the healthcare industry, and is already in high demand with physicians, Insurance Carriers, Disease Management companies, State Medicaid agencies, Self Insured Organizations, and more!

We also offer drop shipment directly to your customers, and can even help monitor your patients through Eocene's friendly, bi-lingual Reliable Response Team.

Eocene is active in the ACO movement, Telehealth and Diabetic tracking. This software can communicate with the national suppliers of EMRs as well as independently owned and operated hospital-based medical records. This product is owned and operated by HME Corporate and the cost of supplying it is greatly discounted to the HME Provider network of dealers. In addition, all leads generated from national marketing efforts are supplied to the closest local member of the HME Providers dealer network.

Infopia America
Infopia America is the first independent diabetic testing supplier to obtain market share and was listed in the competitive bid online bidding. The largest stockholder of Infopia America is HME Corporate. We own 50% of the stock, and the other 50% is owned by a publicly traded company.

Infopia America: Diabetic Products
As an HME member, when you purchase an Infopia product, you can buy one box of strips at the same price if you were buying 1000 boxes. The "buy in bulk" price is at your fingertips for any purchase volume.

The diabetic business is a huge opportunity. If you did not bid on the mail order business for Medicare, don't worry; the Medicare business for diabetic supplies is actually very small. Through the HME Providers fulfillment center, you can make a profit simply by supplying your customer. HME Providers accepts all Insurance Companies and HMO's as out of network or as a preferred.

The profit margins in the diabetic business are low, but the volume can be very high. You will be surprised how the residuals can quickly add up. For every 100 patients that you supply, your monthly income will increase by $1500. Most of our dealers who focus on keeping their diabetic customers and expanding their customer base are able to increase their volume to around 1000 patients, bumping up their monthly income to an additional $15,000.

Keep in mind that each of these diabetic patients will remember your company's name when they are in need of other types of products in the future.
